CASE LAW - Shmyr v Superintendent of Motor Vehicles
In April of 2014 Michael Shmyr was convicted in Whatcom County Court in the State of Washington of the offence of driving under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Shmyr is a resident of British Columbia and holds a B.C. driver's licence.

I reported to police regarding an L Driver who is driving by himself and on occasion with his kids in the car. I was then contacted by the police and told that the driver is not violating any part of the Motor Vehicle Act.

Question: I live in Applegreen apartments in Richmond. I own a 2001 Dodge ram Diesel truck. I just got a letter complaining about my truck being too noisy. It is louder than a gasoline engine but has no modifications done to it whatsoever.
I have a 49cc gas scooter. Its top speed is only 50kph, so I try to stay in the bicycle lane if traffic is heavy. I have searched drivesafebc.ca and ICBC but cannot find articles on whether this is legal.
