QUESTION: I live in Vancouver and My friends and I are thinking of going to the Clayoquot Oyster Festival in Tofino in late November, but I remember the Pacific Rim Highway was signposted "use winter tires or carry chains between October and April". I have tried asking many car rental companies and none of them have winter tires, and could not confirm winter tires availability for November. Do you know what we could do in this case?

Question: I am wondering if you could shed some light on police issuing an inspection order to vehicles. I own a 1990 Nissan 240SX that usually gets 1-3 vehicle inspection orders a year. The orders are usually box 1's but I get the occasional box 2.
Most of the people on my RV forum have moved from ST to LT trailer tires. They claim these tires have a higher reserve load capacity, better construction and much lower failure rate. The failure rate of ST tires appears to be substantially higher.
My question is concerning mudflaps and spray diffusers, or the lack of them.
The case of Schurmann v Hoch arises from a collision that occurred at dusk in rainy weather. Mr. Schurmann was attempting to turn out of a parking lot onto the highway when he was struck by the vehicle Mr. Hoch (a GLP driver) was operating. Mr. Hoch had failed to turn on his headlights.
