I would like to share this story with you about what happened to me last weekend.
I would like to share this story with you about what happened to me last weekend.
My mother learned to drive on the prairies as a teenager. She paid her two dollars, was given a driver's licence and then learned to drive. I learned in my teens as well, studying the driving guide, took a twenty question test, spent some time as a learner, passed a 20 minute road test and I had my licence.
This case contains a discussion about wilful blindness. Garret Cole received a notice of intent to prohibit in the mail from the Superintendent of Motor Vehicles at the beginning of August of 2011 that advised him he could have the prohibition reviewed. Mr. Cole did pay the fee and had the review conducted.
It’s a sunny July weekend. You’re on your way with your family to Tickleberry’s, that beautiful ice cream joint in Okanagan Falls. An oncoming driver chooses to respond to a text message and crosses over into your lane. There’s a head-on crash.
You and your family suffer serious injuries.
Highway 33, from above Big White turn off to Beaverdale is getting very dangerous. Travelling either way, cars are waiting too long to pass, and end up returning to their lane on double solid lines, just prior to a corner, and often on the curve of the corner. Anyone coming the other way would have no chance of avoiding a head on collision.
We have a 1956 Ford Victoria, no seatbelts of course. I know it is legal for us to not have seatbelts on, but what about kids who are of the age that they no longer need a booster seat? Can we legally take them out in the car? Our grandsons are always wanting to go for a ride, and we say no as we do not have seat belts. What do you have to say about this?
I watched a commercial truck begin to leave the brake check as I approached the summit of Highway 4 outside of Port Alberni today. I knew that if the driver accelerated as he was entitled to I would have to follow him for a few kilometers of downhill grade at speeds significantly lower than the 80 km/h speed limit. I wasn't in a hurry, but I wasn't looking forward to this either.
Kelly Rae Rhone was charged for operating a motor vehicle without proper insurance while driving on the Trans Canada Highway at Mill Bay, B.C. Ms. Rhone disputed the traffic ticket on the basis that keeping the insurance current was her husband's job and that she did not know the insurance was expired.
I was hoping to find out if it is legal to ride a Yamaha BWS50 50cc scooter and take a passenger. I assumed it was legal to ride with passenger but my neighbour thinks it is not legal. Any assistance is appreciated.
Can someone with an L from BC drive in all the provinces? The family is planning a cross Canada trip and my son has his L. We were planning to drive back through the US. Can a person with an L from BC drive in the US?
