On my way home from dropping my daughter at school I turn left onto my street at an intersection and then need to turn left immediately again as my house is the 1st driveway. I do so over a single yellow line and am often getting honks etc. I don't think they're aware I'm turning into a driveway although I do signal... Am I wrong or are they?
I need a lot of help with these questions that I can't find the right answers to from anyone: What are the rules at a two way stop when 2 cars face each other? There is a different answer on your website and also with ICBC's Learn to Drive Smart Guide. I don't know who proceeds first if both cars stop at the same time face to face and are both turning left on the through street.
Our son has an "L" licence and is currently taking a course with a professional driving school. Our Question - is it illegal in BC for him - with his Learner's Licence - to practice on our own private land, providing he does not go near the sidewalk or road outside our property line?
Question: If a delinquent dad is operating a vehicle without a valid license because that license was revoked by the court due to non payment of child support, what can I do about it? The driver has been reported to the police numerous times. I've also shared a private investigator's report & video proving this.
I was driving my friends car without him knowing that i had no drivers licence. we got pulled over and the car got impounded for 30 days. he has a full time job and cannot go without a car. i on the other hand, am disabled, and cannot work and is willing to do what ever it takes to get his car out of impound so he can go to work. i will go to jail for a month or long because i know i was wrong.
I cannot find, in the traffic act, an answer to a question i was asked , and was hoping that you could help me. I was asked whether or not it was illegal to stop for an animal that was crossing the road while traffic was heavy.
I was travelling through Alexis Creek where I was stopped and ticketed for speeding. The officer alleges I was traveling at 104kph in a 60kph zone. I couldn't be sure exactly the speed I was going but would have to defer to the officer's superior measuring equipment. ;-)
The signs in the school zones around the Oceanside Middle School in Parksville remain up during the summer. They state the speed to be 30 km/h and underneath a tab says "school days." Other areas do not have the notation of "school days" but do leave up their 30 km/h sign during the summer.
Recently I was on Highway 97 proceeding north and about to enter Westbank when a car exiting the connector highway, 97C, came abreast of me on my right. We were in a “dead heat,” as it were, with neither vehicle as much as a car’s length ahead of the other. I felt that I had the right of way and continued at the same speed. The other car merged after me, repeatedly sounding her horn.
My son received a traffic ticket from the police for driving without insurance and driving without a driver's licence. He was riding a bicycle that he has attached a small gas motor to and I think that this is a motor assisted cycle, not a motorcycle. If I am right, he doesn't need a licence or insurance and the police should not have issued the ticket. He has driven past police road checks with this cycle and none of them stopped him and told him that it was not legal. They should have done this first and not given him a ticket.
