Q&A - Drinking Alcohol or Smoking Marihuana in a Limousine or Party Bus

Q&A ImageQUESTION: I drive stretch limousine part time. One of the attractions of renting a stretch limo is for the customers being able to relax in the rear having a social drink in relative privacy (because the windows are heavily tinted and the barrier can be up to separate the driver from the guests) while a professional chauffeur cruises them around.

Q&A - Rumble Strips

Q&A ImageQuestion: I wonder if you can find any information regarding the rumble strips they cut into the asphalt between lanes. I can see some benefit in them in waking up a sleepy driver, mainly on the side of the road, but like on Hwy 6 from Vernon to Nakusp, there are a lot of corners and this rumble strip is annoying in that most people drive over it, which causes a lot of noise in your vehicle.

Delineators Prevent Pulling Over

image of cycle lane delineatorsQuestion: I am concerned about the delineators that have been added to both sides of 96th Avenue in Langley. I recently witnessed a situation where an emergency vehicle was stuck behind heavy traffic that was unable to pull over to allow the emergency vehicle to pass. What is the point in this? How are the drivers supposed to react under these circumstances?

Buying a Modified Vehicle

Q&A - Stopping When Unsafe

Q&A ImageQuestion: A pedestrian was on the sidewalk mid block and an approaching driver stopped to allow the pedestrian to jay walk. The car in the adjacent lane behind this driver stopped abruptly and almost caused a collision because the car following that vehicle was not expecting the stop. Should the second car have stopped or just kept going?

Are Dashcams Legal in BC?

many dashcams look like this oneI have a question about the dash cam that I use while driving around in Vancouver every day. I see a lot of "interesting" driving, if you know what I mean. That said, I am wondering if I am breaking any privacy laws. Either way, could a police officer use my video to give the driver a ticket?

Bicycles & Lane Use Sign

Q&A ImageQuestion: Eastbound on Point Grey Road at Alma Street in Vancouver there are two bike lanes on the north side of the street that are allowed to cross Alma Street without stopping. On the diverter is a lane use sign for Eastbound traffic, "no straight ahead except for bicycles".
